The Guest Care Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for an assigned group of prospective patients.
As a Guest Care Coordinator, your lead outcomes will include:
- Answering inbound customer service calls and making outbound follow up calls in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Collect and verify required guest demographic and financial data elements and creating a complete pre-registered account for a scheduled visit
- Completes the pre-certification process by obtaining authorization from insurer and/or healthcare facility, verify guest insurance and confirm benefits eligibility
- Explaining insurance coverage and guests’ out-of-pocket responsibility
- Contacting imaging centers/physician offices for medical documentation
- Explaining treatment recommendations
- Providing logistical/travel information to guests
- Responsible for accurate and timely scheduling for consultations and procedures
- Ensures safe care to guests, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice
- Performs other duties as required

Will work with occasional supervision over repetitive tasks. New duties or project type tasks may receive “strict” or “direct” supervision, depending upon the nature of the task(s).
As a Guest Care Coordinator, DOC requires the following competencies:
- Bachelors’ Degree required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 5+ years’ experience in guest care coordination and/or healthcare sales is required.
- Two years of fast-paced, high volume previous sales and/or healthcare experience is required. Direct-to-consumer medical experience is preferred.
