Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Technician B for an onsite position located in Glennville, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in electronics repair and testing who want to build hands-on experience in a professional warehouse environment. The Technician B will be responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical and electronic components in accordance with company and industry standards.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving, analyzing technical issues down to the component level, and delivering consistent, high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, a solid understanding of electronic circuitry, and experience using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and voltmeters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic components and devices.

  • Diagnose technical issues to the component level using analytical thinking and established testing methods.

  • Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness when completing repair orders and assigned projects.

  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation.

  • Adhere to all quality and performance standards to ensure reliability and compliance.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse safety regulations.

  • Use proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures when managing hard drives or sensitive components.

  • Collaborate with team members while being capable of working independently when necessary.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs or warehouse operations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must be able to pass a Technical Aptitude Test, where applicable.

  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, theory, and system functionality.

  • Skilled in soldering and de-soldering (both surface mount and through-hole techniques).

  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing tools, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and voltmeters.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic components using logical and analytical reasoning.

  • Familiarity with ESD safety standards and best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.

  • Proficiency in computer use for accurate data entry and reporting.

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior hands-on experience in a technical or electronics repair environment.

  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist or train others in technology use or troubleshooting.

  • Interest in continuous learning and professional development within a technical field.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum: Associate degree in Electronics, equivalent technical certification, or equivalent practical experience in the field.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moderate physical activity.

  • Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. when necessary.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, or pulling may be required throughout the shift.
