Mead Construction, Inc. is growing and looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Melbourne, FL. We’re a trusted general contractor known for quality, reliability, and teamwork — and we’re looking for someone who shares those values.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare precise, detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects
- Review plans, specs, and bid documents to define project scope
- Write and assemble clear, professional proposals and bid submissions
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost breakdowns for labor and materials
- Collaborate closely with project managers and field teams to plan and execute winning bids
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Strong understanding of materials, methods, and job sequencing
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organization, communication, and proposal-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively
