Job Description
Dizario Search is conducting a search for a Senior Project Engineer in Taylor County, WI. This opportunity is with a well-established food manufacturer. Reporting to the Factory Project Engineering Manager, the Senior Project Engineer will lead capital projects from concept through startup, providing technical leadership and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead capital projects from planning through construction, commissioning, and startup
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and approval documentation
- Manage project execution, contractors, and construction activities
- Monitor project costs, schedules, risks, and change control processes
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, FDA, and OSHA requirements
- Provide technical support to plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor junior engineers as needed
Senior Project Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of engineering and project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading capital projects from concept through implementation
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, OSHA, and manufacturing compliance requirements
- Experience in food & beverage, consumer products, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus
