Job Description

If you take pride in your work and want a shop where that actually means something, keep reading. Tim Kyle Electric, Heating & Cooling has been serving Carroll County since 1986, and we're hiring an HVAC service tech to join the team.

This is a family-owned company. No corporate runaround. No drama. Just steady residential work, a take-home truck, and a crew that backs each other up.

About Tim Kyle

We're a family-owned, privately owned company — not private equity — serving Central Maryland since 1986.

Nearly 40 years of doing right by homeowners has kept our phones ringing year-round. That means steady work, strong demand, and the opportunity to build a real career.

We've also built a team people want to stay on. Some of our employees have been with us for 20+ years.

No corporate revolving door.

No drama.

No games.

Just a team that works hard, takes care of customers, and has each other's backs.

What You'll Get

  • $80,000 to $125,000/year depending on experience
  • Fully stocked truck to take home
  • Insurance options
  • PTO plus 8 paid holidays
  • Weekly team breakfasts
  • Fun team events throughout the year
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Real work-life balance
  • Family-owned, family-run (since 1986)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems
  • Replacing faulty or worn-out parts
  • Installing upgrades and equipment enhancements
  • Working with homeowners to explain issues clearly
  • Keeping your truck and your work clean

Who We're Looking For

You take pride in your craftsmanship. You do the job right even when nobody is watching. You enjoy solving problems. You can communicate with homeowners without talking over their heads. And you want to work somewhere you can build a career — not just collect a paycheck.

Beyond that:

  • 1+ years of residential HVAC experience
  • EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred)
  • Journeyman license preferred (not required)
  • Valid driver's license and able to pass standard pre-employment checks
  • Comfortable talking with homeowners (you'll be in their houses every day)

If you don't check every box but feel like you'd be a fit, apply anyway. We hire the right person and train the rest.

How to Apply

Apply below and tell us a little about your experience.

If you're a residential HVAC service technician who knows your stuff, takes pride in your work, and wants to build a career with a company that has your back, let's talk.
