Job Description

The role of the Contracts Administrator is to develop, negotiate and evaluate contracts on behalf of the organization while mitigating liability and risks. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all contracts abide by local, state, and federal laws and comply with interests of all involved parties.

The position reports to the Controller while assisting the Vice President of Finance and the Executive team as required.

Job Description:

The Contracts Administrator will have the following responsibilities:

· Ensures required documentation is issued for construction projects: contract/purchase orders, insurance certificates and lien/notices releases.

· Reviews contracts and makes appropriate recommendations to management and Executive teams.

· Negotiates contract terms with clients and subcontractors with involvement of Executive teams.

· Ensures sub/vendor proposals have appropriate strike outs.

· Renew annual AIA Contract license; Assign users as required.

· Manages all master owner contract agreements and audits all current contracts.

· Prepare and submit paperwork for new license or license renewal.

· Ensures bonded projects maintain appropriate compliance/bonding level (monthly/as required). Ensure PA maintains Bonds.

· Provides administrative support to the executive management team as needed.

· Mentors and trains other team members for overall team development.

Desired Skills & Experience:

· Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience.

· 10 years of Contract Administration experience in construction or contracting industry is required.

· Must have strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.

· Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.

· Must be well-organized, responsive and have great follow-through on assignments.

· Ability to perform well with tight deadlines.
