Job Description
This hands-on field-based role combines technical problem-solving, preventive maintenance, and customer support for water treatment and related systems. You will work primarily onsite at customer locations, performing service work, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining detailed documentation. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite at customer locations to perform service work on water treatment and related systems.
- Conduct general preventive maintenance on water treatment systems and processes in accordance with established procedures and under supervision.
- Help replace consumables for equipment such as reverse osmosis (RO) systems, activated carbon filters (ACF), ultraviolet (UV) units, and other related components.
- Provide routine support and perform repeated tasks together with other technicians, ensuring you never work alone or operate valves alone.
- Independently execute lock installation projects as assigned, ensuring accurate and safe completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cellular/Bluetooth devices, as well as customer concerns, using effective problem-solving skills.
- Respond to emergency service calls as directed, including occasional nights, weekends, or holidays, to support customer operations.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation, including monthly expense reports, daily service call reports, weekly tracking, and route completion reports.
- Maintain detailed records of all service visits, including technical issues identified, parts used, and work performed.
- Prioritize workload in coordination with leadership to maintain an efficient and cost-effective preventative maintenance schedule.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customer personnel, consistently representing the company in a positive manner.
- Provide customer training on products and systems as needed to support safe and effective operation.
- Assist at other customer locations or sites as required based on business needs.
- Demonstrate a strong safety mindset, including adherence to site PPE requirements, chemical awareness, and all safety training.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, and standing as part of daily duties.
- Work effectively in a variety of conditions, including confined spaces, damp or dusty areas, extreme temperatures, and both indoor and outdoor environments.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in a technical, industrial, or field service role.
- Experience working independently in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with mechanical systems and tools.
- Technical aptitude in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cellular/Bluetooth devices.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on water treatment systems and related equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for documentation and reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while remaining accountable and results-driven.
- Ability to receive and successfully pass site PPE training, chemical awareness training, and all required safety training.
- Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds to chest height.
- Ability to wear and use a respirator under specified conditions.
- Comfort working in confined spaces, damp or dusty areas, and extreme temperatures.
- Willingness and ability to work occasional overtime and weekends, and to respond to emergency service calls as needed.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to interface positively and professionally with customers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in water treatment or maintenance environments.
- Experience performing lab tests or chemistry tests, and logging and reporting data accurately.
- Mechanical problem-solving experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general mechanical systems.
- Experience with documentation and reporting, including expense reports, service call reports, and maintenance logs.
- Background in preventive maintenance programs for industrial or process equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues involving mechanical, electrical, or electronic components.
- Familiarity with safety practices in industrial settings, including chemical handling and PPE usage.
- Ability to travel between customer locations as needed to support business needs.
- Comfort providing basic training and guidance to customers on the use and care of equipment.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite in North Phoenix, Arizona, working at customer facilities that operate water treatment and related industrial systems. The role follows either a fixed day shift schedule (Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) or a rotating day shift schedule (4-3-3-4 day week, approximately 5:45 to 6:00, day or night), with occasional overtime and weekend work as required. You will work in both indoor and outdoor environments across all seasons, including confined spaces, damp or dusty areas, and locations with extreme temperatures. The work involves regular physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds to chest height, climbing, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and balancing. You will use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and may be required to wear a respirator under certain conditions. The environment is safety-focused, with required PPE training, chemical awareness training, and adherence to established safety procedures. You will work closely with other technicians and customer personnel, using tools and equipment related to water treatment systems, mechanical and electrical components, and digital tools for documentation and communication.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.88 - $31.88/hr.
