MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS/HOURS INCLUDING NIGHTS/WEEKENDS
Position Summary
Join a dynamic manufacturing team dedicated to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to lead hourly production employees, drive operational excellence, promote a strong safety culture, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct responsibility for workforce performance, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
Champion workplace safety by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Proactively identify and address potential safety concerns to maintain a safe working environment.
Foster a culture of accountability and vigilance regarding employee health and safety.
Production & Operational Excellence
Lead and direct a team of production employees to consistently meet or exceed quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
Monitor daily operations and proactively address performance gaps.
Allocate resources effectively to maximize production output while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure adherence to established production processes and procedures.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
Identify operational challenges and implement effective corrective actions.
Make timely, informed decisions in response to production, quality, and safety issues.
Analyze root causes of problems and develop sustainable solutions.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and production demands.
Team Leadership & Development
Build and maintain a high-performing, engaged workforce.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to support individual and team success.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages continuous learning and accountability.

Quality & Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and process-improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
Maintain rigorous quality standards and ensure compliance with operational requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
Data & Performance Management
Monitor key performance indicators and utilize data to improve operational outcomes.
Track and manage employee attendance, performance, and productivity metrics.
Prepare reports and communicate operational results to leadership.
Leverage data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration & Employee Relations
Work closely with employees, leadership, union representatives, suppliers, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Build strong working relationships through open communication, trust, and transparency.
Address employee concerns and workplace conflicts professionally and effectively.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree required.
Experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
Assembly production manufacturing experience.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and/or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to solve problems and make sound operational decisions.
Experience managing production performance, quality, safety, and employee engagement initiatives.
Proficiency in using data and metrics to drive operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Experience in gear and pinion hobbing, milling, and related maintenance operations.
Previous supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume production setting.

Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
