Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working in resource room or similar settings in schools

- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Duties:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with individualized learning needs in a resource room setting
- Develop and adapt curriculum to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional approaches as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with colleagues and families to set achievable goals for each student
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with school and state policies
- Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that maximizes student engagement and growth
- Support students’ social and emotional development alongside academic goals
