A prominent personal injury firm with a 30-year history and over $2 billion recovered for clients is seeking a high-caliber Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. Serving victims across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, our firm is dedicated to holding negligent parties accountable in motor vehicle accidents, trucking incidents, and wrongful death cases.
This role is designed for a seasoned litigator who is passionate about advocacy and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
Compensation: $100,000-125,000 base salary + commissions/bonus structure
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a robust litigation caseload (50+ cases) primarily focused on motor vehicle accidents, with additional exposure to premises liability and dog bite claims. You will lead cases from the initial filing through discovery, mediation, and trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Litigation: Lead personal injury cases from the filing of the complaint through final resolution.
- Document Drafting: Prepare high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and comprehensive demand packages.
- Advocacy & Appearance: Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
- Expert Coordination: Partner with expert witnesses to develop reports, affidavits, and testimony that strengthen the case.
- Strategic Research: Conduct in-depth legal research and draft persuasive memoranda and briefs.
- Client Stewardship: Provide compassionate and clear guidance to clients throughout every stage of the litigation process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with support staff and firm leadership to ensure efficient case progression and meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of practice as an attorney with 5 years of dedicated litigation experience.
- Specialization: At least 2 years of specific experience in personal injury litigation.
- Licensure: Active Kentucky Bar License in good standing is required.
- Caseload Management: Proven ability to manage a high-volume docket of 50+ active cases.
- Skills: Superior legal writing, oral advocacy, and organizational skills.
- Drive: A self-starter with a strong professional drive and a commitment to long-term career growth.
