BASIC SUMMARY:
We are seeking an accomplished and motivated Personal Trainer to join our fitness and wellness department. This role is focused on delivering customized, results-oriented fitness experiences that inspire confidence, promote well-being, and reflected the elevated service standards of our club. The ideal candidate will combine a deep knowledge of exercise science with an engaging, professional presence to create a supportive and energizing environment for every member. This is a 1099 role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build client base through conducting fitness assessments and demonstrating the value of personal training, including safe and proper exercise techniques.
- Design and implement personalized training programs tailored to members goals, abilities and preferences.
- Motivate and inspire clients to get results through goal setting, frequent follow-up, and re-assessments to show progress.
- Deliver one-on-one and small group sessions with professionalism, motivation and encouragement.
- Build meaningful relationships with members, fostering trust and long-term engagement in their wellness journey.
- Collaborate with fitness and spa team to enhance the overall wellness experience at the club.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and presentation in all training areas.
- Stay current with fitness trends, continuing education and luxury service practices to continually elevate the member experience.
- Administer member fitness assessments, to include, but not limited to: member interviews, body composition analysis, strength, endurance and flexibility assessments, along with personalized exercise program development and implementation.
- Conduct member orientations, to include, but not limited to: exercise leadership in cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, stretching and recovery guidelines.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the equipment.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Maintain accurate payroll paperwork.
- Promote Spa services/treatments and Fitness programs.
- Assist in all areas of Spa/Sports Operations as needed.
- Assist other operations with special projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Personal Trainer and/or Group Exercise certification from nationally accredited institution (i.e. Cooper, AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NASM etc.).
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- Provide valid licenses and certification upon hire date.
- Must maintain all required licenses and certifications during employment.
- Provide consistent professional personal training sessions in accordance with fitness protocol and accepted certification practices.
- Design a safe, effective and innovative exercise program personalized to the fitness level of the members/guests.
- Guide members/guests through a series of tests to establish their current fitness level and to set up safe, effective fitness goals for them.
- Introduce members/guests to the cardiovascular and resistance training equipment, explaining how to properly use the equipment and avoid injury while achieving maximum results.
- Incorporate new techniques, methods and developments into the programs.
- Listen effectively and proficient in English.
- Achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction by providing accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all members’/guests’ requests and concerns in a professional manner.
- Work without constant direct supervision.
- Work in a team environment.
- Committed to working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Attend all team meetings.
- Schedule vacations during the off-season months.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
- Grasp, lift, push/pull, carry or transport up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Stand for length of scheduled shift.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
