Olivia from Robert Half is hiring for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Albany, New York. This role involves managing complex infrastructure deployments and ensuring smooth operations of on-premises systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in automation tools, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
- Proficiency in AWS technologies.
- Creating and updating deployment configs, routes, and services.
- Managing CI/CD pipelines that deploy into OpenShift.
- Debugging failed pods, broken builds, or routing issues.
- Creating Kubernetes manifests/Helm charts for deployments, services, config maps, secrets, etc.
- Setting up PostgreSQL or managing it via cloud services (RDS, etc.): backups, high availability, users/roles.
- Running and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters for app search or logging (e.g., part of an ELK stack).
- Monitoring performance and storage, troubleshooting slow queries/index issues at a basic level.
- Writing Terraform code to create/update AWS resources (VPCs, subnets, EC2, RDS, EKS, IAM, etc.).
- Running plans, applying changes, managing environments (dev vs. prod) consistently.
- Using modules and variables to keep infrastructure organized and reusable.
