Location: Sedalia, MO — Gardner Denver, 305 N State Fair Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301

Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

A Day in Your Role

• Diagnose and execute complex electrical, mechanical, and construction repairs, interpreting schematics and blueprints to guide your work.
• Isolate drive-related faults to the component level across Fanuc, Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, and similar control platforms.
• Identify root causes, recommend preventive actions, and document findings and fixes through our work order history.
• Keep internal stakeholders informed on equipment status and timelines; coordinate with outside service providers when needed.
• Draft sketches for mechanical/electrical alterations or new installations; prepare bills of material and initiate purchase requisitions for larger jobs.
• Exercise sound judgment on day-to-day decisions to minimize downtime and enhance safety.
• Operate hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks, and hand trucks to safely move light to heavy materials.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery; plant electrical systems; and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
• Reassemble equipment after service; inspect and test damaged parts, tagging defects and advising supervision as required.
• Perform lubrication and apply adhesives and other materials to machinery per procedures.
• Team up with peers to repair or relocate machines, subassemblies, or components.
• Work confidently on high-voltage systems up to 480 VAC, 3‑phase.
• Repair or replace linings and components (metal, wood, leather, glass) in machines and equipment compartments.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Multi-discipline troubleshooting ability across pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic systems, CNC machines, and controls.
• Comfort working from concepts when detailed drawings/specs aren’t available; strong blueprint/schematic interpretation skills.
• Ability to maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
• Experience maintaining machine tools: lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and related equipment.
• Team-first mindset and clear communication.

Physical Capabilities

• Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance; push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Vision corrected to no worse than 20/35 with glasses/contacts.

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years specifically focused on CNC machine maintenance.

Work Setting

On-site at our Sedalia, MO facility; no travel anticipated.
