Job Description:
The Litigation Secretary will provide direct administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys. Responsibilities include managing attorney schedules, assisting with legal filings and trial preparation, and coordinating communication with courts, clients, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to a group of attorneys, managing schedules, calls, and deadlines
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Organize and maintain legal files and case materials using a document management system
- Enter and track billable time for attorneys accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with courts and clients to schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Assist with trial prep and basic legal research
- Perform various office support tasks such as setting up meetings, ordering supplies, and helping with new office build-outs
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, specifically in litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Familiarity with legal filing procedures and court systems
- Experience with document management software is a plus
