Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and caring Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team for two - three days weekly, at Canarsie Childhood Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in guiding our children towards achieving their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and be part of a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate students' physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities to develop personalized treatment plans

Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve fine motor, gross motor, and sensory integration skills

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

Conduct group and individual therapy sessions to promote functional skills and independence

Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and treatment plans

Participate in IEP meetings and staff development workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices
Requirements:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

Current registration with the New York State Occupational Therapy Association (NYSOTA)

Experience working with children with special needs a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
