Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity providing outstanding occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Petersburg, MI. This full-time position covers the first half of the year, serving students in need of your expertise as an OT. You'll split your role between two welcoming school communities, primarily dedicating your time to one district, with one day each week making a positive impact in a neighboring district.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience working with children or within a school setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to promoting student success and maximizing functional independence in the educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to integrate OT strategies into the classroom setting
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student progress
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
• Serve as a resource to school staff regarding adaptive equipment, classroom accommodations, and strategies to enhance student participation
• Travel to a secondary district one day a week to ensure consistent OT service delivery across locations
