Job Overview
The OR Tech I is an integral part of the surgical team, operating under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role involves collaborating with both the surgeon and the RN to provide patient care and assume necessary responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently
Certifications and Licenses
Mandatory:
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements
- 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Full-Time position
- Alternating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
