LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hou
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business need
- The required availability for this position is rotating shifts:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, with rotating weekends (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage pattern
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulation
- Verify appropriateness and safety of prescribed medication
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy record
- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications including dosage, storage, side effects, and interaction
- Advise patients on medication use and answer question
- Provide patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol managemen
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
- Compound medications for internal and external us
- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedure
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerk
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplie
- Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
- Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Requirements
- Active pharmacist license issued by the state pharmacy board
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and clinical practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

- Previous long-term care (LTC) or closed-door pharmacy experienc
- Experience with sterile compoundin
- Strong communication and patient counseling skills
