Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and dependable Legal Assistant to support a mediation and arbitration practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing legal support with office coordination in a fast-paced, client-facing setting. The role offers a varied workload that includes managing schedules, preparing documents, and helping daily operations run efficiently. Success in this position requires strong judgment, close attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage calendars for mediations, arbitrations, meetings, and client appointments to ensure smooth day-to-day scheduling.
• Draft, format, review, print, scan, and file legal and administrative materials with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain orderly electronic and paper records for case-related and office documentation.
• Support the preparation of agreements, written communications, forms, and other legal documents as needed.
• Track important dates, deadlines, and logistical details to help keep matters on schedule.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for attorneys, law firms, clients, and other external partners across the region.
• Arrange travel, lodging, and meeting details when business needs require coordination outside the office.
• Assist with light website updates, marketing support tasks, and social media coordination on an as-needed basis.
• Monitor office supply levels and handle general administrative tasks that support efficient office operations.
• Protect confidential legal, financial, medical, and client information while providing daily administrative support to enhance attorney productivity.• Prior experience in legal support, office administration, executive assistance, customer service, or another services environment is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and business contacts.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling documents, schedules, and correspondence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to learn new legal or administrative software platforms quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Sound judgment and a demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Experience with calendar coordination, legal documentation, court or e-filing processes, and general office support is helpful.
