This Per Diem Pharmacist role offers an opportunity to provide vital pharmacy services in East Dubuque, IL, with PRN retail pharmacist coverage in nearby Galena, Illinois. The assignment runs on select days from August 20-21 and September 1, with shifts on the 1st shift from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will be working with Pioneer pharmacy software.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and ensure safe delivery to all customers under the direct supervision of the manager.
- Counsel and advise patients on their medication regimens, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints according to organizational policies.
- Maintain stock records, including controlled drug inventories, to ensure compliance and availability.
- Resolve patient issues and clarify third-party insurance coverage challenges.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
- Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy software is a plus.
Location:
- Coverage will be based in Galena, Illinois, with the primary position located in East Dubuque, IL.
Schedule:
- August 20 and 21, and September 1
- 1st Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
