At MGX Equipment Services in Denver, CO, we’re looking for a Crane Systems Field Service Technologist who thrives on solving complex problems in the field. You’ll report to the Service Manager and support a wide range of mobile cranes and boom trucks—keeping our customers safe, productive, and on schedule.
What challenges will you solve?
- Pinpoint faults and repair mobile hydraulic and lattice-boom cranes at customer sites.
- Lead comprehensive annual inspections that meet rigorous standards.
- Manage your workload independently and make sound decisions on-site.
- Communicate clearly, set expectations, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Document everything precisely: working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense reports.
- Tackle additional responsibilities as needed.

- Grove RT & TMS platforms
- Grove GMK (European series)
- Manitowoc EPIC and Traditional
- National boom trucks
What do you need to succeed?
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year as a crane technician/mechanic preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Willing to travel up to 50% for field work and training.
- Strong people skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Basic computer literacy preferred.

When and where will you work?
This is a full-time role with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on customer demand.
Expect varied environments—shop and field—with exposure to extreme weather and temperatures; dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, strong odors; and loud noise. The job can involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. You’ll frequently lift or move up to 40 lbs. Visual abilities include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
