Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our client, a ride-sharing autonomous vehicle company in Foster City, CA.

Title: Technical Program Manager - Autonomy (Contract)
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days/week)
Pay Rate: $101.23/hour (W-2)
Overview: Our client is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support its Autonomy organization in delivering key initiatives across autonomous driving systems, including Perception, Prediction & Behavioral ML, TeleGuidance, Planning & Controls, and Collision Avoidance.
This role is responsible for driving execution, coordinating cross-functional efforts, tracking program metrics, and ensuring engineering teams deliver against critical technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive program leader with experience managing complex software development initiatives in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Planning
• Partner with Engineering Managers and technical leads to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Drive execution of complex cross-functional programs and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to support successful program outcomes.
Metrics & KPI Management
• Support the development and reporting of key autonomy and driving behavior metrics.
• Monitor program performance and provide visibility into progress against goals.
• Help establish data-driven processes for measuring engineering effectiveness and system performance.
Risk & Dependency Management
• Identify program risks, blockers, and dependencies early.
• Develop mitigation strategies and drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Escalate critical issues appropriately to maintain program momentum.
Stakeholder Communication
• Prepare and deliver executive-level status updates, dashboards, and presentations.
• Communicate program progress, risks, accomplishments, and upcoming priorities.
• Facilitate alignment across engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams.
Process Improvement
• Improve program management practices, operational efficiency, and execution visibility.
• Drive consistency in planning, reporting, and program governance processes.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of Technical Program Management or Program Management experience supporting software development organizations
• Proven success leading complex cross-functional projects with minimal supervision
• Experience using project management and planning tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Gantt charts, and risk tracking frameworks
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting AI/ML, robotics, autonomous vehicle, automotive, or aerospace programs
• Familiarity with autonomy-related KPIs, engineering metrics, and performance measurement frameworks
• Experience working in high-growth technology companies or consulting environments
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly technical organizations
