Field Service Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal machine performance.
Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
Document service activities, parts utilized, and resolutions accurately and thoroughly.
Manage service schedules and travel independently to various customer locations.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards during all service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in field service or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC diagnostics.
Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency in a second language relevant to international clients or local demographics.
Experience with advanced PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
Certification or advanced experience with robotic systems or specific automation platforms.
Demonstrated ability to train clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
