Position Overview:
We are looking for a full-time Engineer for our expanding VDC/BIM department. If you are patient, energetic, organized, detail-oriented, and can quickly adapt to priorities, our team is looking for you.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with project work - modeling and detailing.
- Help resolve BIM design issues as needed.
- Assist project teams with BIM project setup.
- Create Revit families in response to project needs.
- Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team.
- Communicate with subcontractors to receive, coordinate, and update all electronic models.
- Link BIM to the project Construction Administration Phase for submittals, construction models, shop drawings, and schedules.
- Evaluate new VDC/BIM-related software and technologies.
- Stay informed about best practices for using Revit Architecture and BIM.
- Working with multiple file types depending on customer requirements.
- Import various AutoCAD Models into Navisworks.
- Work within Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, and Navisworks.
- Develop and export the point layout into Trimble
- Develop and review drawing package templates
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced.
- Assist in developing and enforcing VDC/BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
- Produce a product that meets schedule, contract scope requirements and is consistent with project standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Background in MEP commercial construction a plus.
- Minimum 1-year Revit experience.
- Minimum 1-year BIM 360 experience.
- Minimum 1-year Navisworks experience.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Knowledge of/or background in seismic design and vibration isolation a plus.
- Piping system experience a plus.
- Pipe Stress Analysis (PSA) experience a plus.
- CAESAR II experience a plus.
