What We’re Seeking:
- Current certification or eligibility to teach Special Education in New Mexico
- Previous experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs is highly valued
- Comfortable adapting instruction to students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment for all learners
- Ability to organize and document student progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and revise educational plans
- Monitor student growth, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and advocacy for both students and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation required for special education compliance
- Support a positive school culture that embraces student diversity
