Job DescriptionProject Engineer
Location: Folsom, CA
Salary: $125,000–$150,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) projects from planning through completion. This is a full-time, onsite position offering excellent growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects and client relationships
- Perform and supervise geotechnical engineering analyses
- Interpret geotechnical, materials, and laboratory test data
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports
- Review grading and foundation plans for compliance with recommendations
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets
- Support business development, marketing, and administrative activities
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. preferred
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- 5+ years of project management experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
- Strong communication, organizational, and client management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Field Requirements
This role includes fieldwork involving soil observation, sampling, and documentation around active construction equipment. Candidates must be able to navigate uneven terrain and slopes up to 30 degrees and lift up to 50 lbs.
