Schedule: Full-Time | Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (40 hours/week | 1-hour lunch, 2x 15-minute breaks)
Pay Rate: $25.00 $42.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)
About the Role
Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced hands-on Quality Engineer / Technician with a strong background in metal parts manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Measurement: Perform precision quality control inspections on metal parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment to ensure product conformity.

Root Cause & Corrective Action: Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve quality defects.

Process Auditing & Improvement: Conduct routine audits of production processes to identify areas for operational improvement and process optimization.

Quality Documentation: Develop and implement quality control procedures, work instructions, metrics, and tracking reports to monitor performance trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production and engineering teams to address quality challenges, refine processes, and elevate overall product standards.

Lab Maintenance & Calibration: Manage gauge calibration procedures, maintain precise calibration logs, and oversee the upkeep of the Quality Laboratory.

Training & Compliance: Conduct quality procedure training for production personnel and ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry quality standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on quality engineering/technician experience in a metal parts manufacturing environment.

Quality Standards: Knowledge and practical experience with IATF 16949 and applicable quality management frameworks.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).

Familiarity with Quality Control tools and methodologies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.

CMM operation and programming experience is a plus (not required).
