Senior Project Manager / Aviation Director

Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager / Aviation Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing aviation-related projects, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards. This role will focus on the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects in an airport environment, including runways and aprons, while ensuring safety and efficiency in airside operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage aviation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities and stakeholders to develop project scopes and objectives that align with aviation standards.
  • Oversee compliance with FAA regulations and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure quality and safety in construction practices.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks and ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the aviation or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and airport operations.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects related to runways, aprons, and airside facilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
