Position Overview
The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Gulf Coast providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to industry. The Information Technology Analyst serves as a critical liaison between the IT department and key business functions within the company. This role will be responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying technology-driven enhancements, and translating organizational needs into clear, actionable system requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Quickly gain and retain over time expert-level product knowledge of HASC’s two primary custom web applications
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement through digital solutions or process refinement.
- Develop documentation such as process maps, use cases, and user stories.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and requirement sessions with internal teams and external clients.
- Translate complex business needs into functional and technical requirements for IT teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and development teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are understood, implemented, and validated.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), test planning, and system validation to confirm solutions meet business expectations.
- Assist in prioritizing technical enhancements, feature requests, and system upgrades.
- Support the development and optimization of dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics used by internal leadership and clients.
- Assist with the rollout of new applications, features, and system enhancements, including participation in QA testing as well as UAT
- Provide guidance to end users to ensure adoption and effective use of technology solutions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of software applications and tools.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis methodologies and requirements-gathering techniques.
- Experience supporting software development projects, SDLC, or agile methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Organized with attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Willingness to occasionally work at different locations if the company need arises

Reporting Responsibilities
The IT Analyst reports directly to the IT Analyst Manager. This position does not have direct reports.
