Junior Web Developer

We are seeking an energetic, highly-motivated, qualified Junior Web Developer to support a dynamic customer environment at a client location in northwest Washington, DC. This role supports public‑facing outreach websites and works under the guidance of a senior developer and task manager in a collaborative, enterprise web development setting.

Skills/experience required:
One to four (1-4) years years’ experience working as an in-house developer, with an agency/contractor, or as a graduate of relevant BootCamp or Compute Science-related program. Recent and relevant experience in the following:
- PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Working in a CMS in a site-building or content capacity (Drupal or Wordpress)
- Using Git/Ghithub for source control
- Command line environments such as Git, Node, Bash
- Familiarity with modern front-end development concepts and patterns
Desirable Experience:
- Drupal 8+ (Drupal 9/10 a plus), including theming or component work
- Front End JS Frameworks (e.g., React, Typescript)
- Themes and popular CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind)
- Developing or extending custom CMS modules
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
- Exposure to backend tooling, APIs, and database concepts
- Interest or familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and integration of AI-powered services via APIs
Tasking:
Working under the guidance and tutelage of senior technical personnel, duties may include:
- Front‑end user interface development
- CMS integration and component enhancement
- Enhancing and maintaining existing code bases, APIs, and government‑furnished prior art
- Participating in requirements‑gathering discussions with customer stakeholders
- Using version control, change management, and collaborative development workflows
- Exposure to enterprise‑class APIs, content frameworks, and modern development tooling
Clearance Requirements
Ability to pass a corporate and Federal background check. Previous Federal Agency check (or higher) clearance preferred.
Where You Will Work:
You will work primarily in one Metro accessible location in Washington, D.C. Free parking is available. Some work from home may be available.
