Job DescriptionOur law firm is looking for an attorney who is ready to represent our existing client base. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. $125,000
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
- Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution
- Represent clients in court in custody, child support, and divorce actions
Qualifications:
- Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment
- Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Minimum of 2 years family law litigation experience
