This newly created position plays a vital role in configuring, maintaining, and enhancing Human Resources systems within the SAP ECC platform, directly impacting operational efficiency and system modernization initiatives.

As an SAP Technical Support Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between technical capabilities and evolving business requirements, working hands-on with system configuration, workflow optimization, and data quality improvements. This role is essential to implementing strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.

POSITION DETAILS

Contract Duration: 12 months with strong possibility for extension

Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week (40 hours/week)

Location: South Carolina (candidates must be SC residents or willing to relocate at own expense prior to start date)

Interview Process: One round, virtual (video required)

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

• Maintain comprehensive system protocols and configuration documentation

Testing & Implementation

• Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and enhancements

• Support production rollouts ensuring minimal disruption to operations

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating complex problems as needed

• Validate system performance and functionality post-implementation

Data Quality & Reporting

• Monitor and improve data accuracy and integrity across HR systems

• Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards using SAP tools, Excel, and Power BI

• Compare data across multiple systems to identify inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions

• Support audit and compliance reporting requirements

• Implement data validation processes and integrity monitoring protocols

Documentation & Technical Support

• Provide technical support to end users and assist with training on new system features

• Update collaboration platforms with relevant system documentation and resources

Collaboration & Project Support

• Partner with HR, IT, and Finance departments to align system functionality with business objectives

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather requirements and provide technical input

• Contribute to HR system modernization projects by implementing technical solutions

• Manage work requests in ticketing systems to track changes and enhancements

• Support risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with IT security standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Expertise (Minimum 3+ Years Each):

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC HR modules including system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting

• Proven track record optimizing SAP HR system workflows to support automation and reduce manual processes

• Strong knowledge of HR/payroll processes, data privacy standards (HIPAA, FLSA), and regulatory compliance frameworks

• Demonstrated experience in data validation, integrity monitoring, and issue resolution across HR systems

• Advanced reporting and dashboard development using SAP tools, Excel, and Power BI

• Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and position-driven system access configuration

Additional Technical Skills:
