Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating students on safe driving practices and the rules of the road. This role involves working closely with learners of various ages, providing both classroom instruction and practical driving lessons. A successful Driving Instructor will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.

Duties

• Conduct classroom sessions to educate students on traffic laws, safe driving techniques, and defensive driving strategies.
• Provide hands-on driving instruction, guiding students through practical driving exercises in various conditions.
• Develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters student engagement.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in an educational or training environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate students.
• Proven classroom management skills to maintain order and facilitate learning.
• Ability to educate both younger learners and adults, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Previous experience in adult education or training is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
