Position Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, onsite school-based opportunity in Suffolk, Virginia! This position is available for an ASAP start and will continue through the end of the school year.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and participate in daily school activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting.

• Assess students' functional abilities and help develop individualized treatment goals.

• Support students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills as appropriate.

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers.

• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP development and meetings.

• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

• Experience in a school-based setting preferred.

• Knowledge of IEPs and special education services is a plus.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
