Role Description The Entry-Level Accounting Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Glen Cove, NY. This role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable. The Accounting Clerk will help prepare basic financial reports, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate documentation and filing of invoices and receipts. Additional tasks may include data entry into accounting software, assisting with month-end closing activities, and coordinating with other team members to ensure timely and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge and interest in Accounting and Finance.
- Ability to work with Accounting Software and assist with Bookkeeping tasks.
- Basic understanding of Financial Statements and how they are prepared and used.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other common office applications.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and uphold confidentiality of financial information.
