JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, driven, and professional, with proven ability to support daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and payroll-related accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling financial and payroll information.
Responsibilities:
· Process hourly and salaried payroll and record related general ledger journal entries.
· Prepare and process customer invoices while maintaining accurate customer records.
· Monitor customer accounts for nonpayment, delayed payments, and other account irregularities.
· Reconcile daily bank activity and record cash receipts and other cash-related transactions.
· Prepare and record all month-end journal entries.
· Reconcile sales and cost of sales activity to the general ledger and support forecasting processes.
· Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
· Provide support for external and bank audits, including preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
· Prepare annual 1099 and property tax filings.
· Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.
· Track capital expenditure projects and coordinate project closeout activities.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
· Education and Accounting Experience: 2–4 years of accounting experience required; degree in Accounting preferred.
· Payroll Systems: Experience with UKG Ready strongly preferred
· Industry and ERP Experience: Prior aviation industry experience and experience with Quantum strongly preferred.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
