Front Desk Coordinator / Receptionist

Location: South San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Rate: $$24/hr on W-2

No C2C or Third-Party Candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator / Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for employees, clients, and visitors. This role supports daily office operations and provides administrative assistance to multiple departments including Facilities, Human Resources, and Marketing.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, greeting employees and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage the main phone line, routing calls to appropriate individuals
  • Maintain visitor logs and badge access, ensuring workplace security protocols are followed
  • Coordinate and maintain conference room scheduling and setup
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail and shipments (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Order, organize, and maintain office supplies, including purchase requisitions
  • Support procurement activities, including purchase orders and expense tracking
  • Monitor and manage shared inbox communications
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects across Facilities, HR, and Marketing teams
  • Ensure front desk and common areas are organized and presentable

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer service role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a corporate or office environment
  • Familiarity with shipping and mail handling processes
  • Experience supporting multiple departments or teams
