Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchandise Ordering and Restocking:
    • Monitor inventory levels and trends to ensure consistent stock of key products.
    • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
  • Scheduling & Staff Coordination:
    • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and smooth operations.
    • Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
    • Oversee onboarding and training for new retail staff.
  • Craft Workshop Coordination:
    • Plan and schedule engaging craft workshops in collaboration with artists and instructors.
    • Promote workshops through store displays, social media, and customer outreach.
    • Manage materials, space, and registration as needed.

Create retail and hospitality events with owner and marketing team (e.g., sip & shop nights, tastings, trunk shows).

    • Coordinate setup, promotion, and execution events with marketing contact
  • Community Engagement & Donations:
    • Review and respond to donation and sponsorship requests in line with company policies.
    • Represent the store in local partnerships and charitable initiatives.
  • Store Duties

o Greeting and assisting customers in their purchases; making them feel welcome and sharing our story. Providing excellent customer service.

o Initiating good customer relations, encourage and use our customer loyalty program

o Using Shopify point of sale software for sales transactions and inventory

o Giftwrapping

o Restocking, dusting, and keeping merchandise and store clean and presentable

o Selling gift certificates, handling exchanges and giving store credit

o Assist staff with inventory, receiving, customer requests, shipping and special orders

o Plan store special events

o Opening and closing duties
