JOB DESCRIPTION: (MIN OF 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE)
Be familiar with welding processes such as FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW. Operate hand welding and semi-automatic equipment in a hot, cold, humid, dusty environment while following quality procedures and AWS specifications. Maintain welding equipment in good operating and safe condition.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be familiar with aluminum GMAW and GTAW welding methods and procedures.
· Be familiar with carbon steel GMAW and GTAW welding methods and procedures.
· Be familiar with stainless steel GMAW and GTAW welding methods and procedures.
· Weld fabricated components according to the proper procedures and work instructions.
· Inspect own work for any inconsistencies in the process and results, and correct any adverse findings.
· Ensure all parts are labeled with part number, heat, and job number before requesting an inspection.
· Always maintain quality and safety standards.
· Stamp all work performed on.
· Maintain and swap components, and consumables on welding equipment.
· Clean welded parts using power tools such as grinders and air tools.
· Follow proper housekeeping, and maintain work area clean.
· Maintain a record of all items, including times, dates, quantities, jobs, and all pertinent job information.
· Read and interpret blueprints, layout reference points, and patterns. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
· Platforms, Skids, Pipe, Angle Handrail, and several other types of projects.
* Welding will be primarily structural, but some familiarity with pipe welding is a plus.
· Knowledge of cutting torches, grinders, and drills. Testing may be required.
· Welding certification tests will be required.
