Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling plaintiff-side personal injury cases. Responsibilities:
• Manage litigation files from the initial complaint through resolution, ensuring all documentation, court filings, and case milestones are handled accurately and on time.
• Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and pleadings in compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee the discovery process, including preparing responses to interrogatories, requests for production, and admissions.
• Review and summarize medical records and bills to identify key treatment information and support case strategies.
• Schedule and prepare for depositions, including organizing exhibits, summarizing prior testimony, and drafting outlines for attorneys.
• Maintain detailed litigation calendars to track critical deadlines, court dates, and other case-related events.
• Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
• Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, drafting jury instructions, and coordinating logistics.
• Provide in-person trial support, including managing exhibits, assisting with jury selection, and ensuring smooth courtroom operations.
• Support post-trial activities such as preparing motions, appeals, and settlement distributions while ensuring compliance with court orders.• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
• At least 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with knowledge of Missouri Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Proficiency in case management software such as SmartAdvocate and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong ability to manage large volumes of documents and meet strict litigation deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and multitask effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with e-discovery and digital trial presentation tools is preferred.
