Job Title: Assistant Electrical Project Manager
Location: Yuma, Arizona (Hospital Project)
Compensation: $125,000 – $140,000 annually
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support a large-scale hospital construction project in Yuma, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management, healthcare or institutional projects, and the ability to assist in overseeing all phases of electrical work from pre-construction through closeout.
Candidates must live near Yuma or be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and managing electrical construction activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, architects, and field teams to ensure electrical scope alignment.
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Help manage budgets, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
- Conduct site walks and progress meetings, ensuring quality control and safety compliance.
- Support with project cost tracking and forecasting to maintain financial objectives.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, schedules, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure all electrical installations meet code requirements, hospital standards, and owner specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 1 year in a project management or coordination role.
- Experience with healthcare, hospital, or institutional projects strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, NEC codes, and healthcare electrical standards.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Yuma, AZ.
