Summary of Position Duties:

• Create Design Change Packages and supporting documentation.
\n
• Provide technical oversight for design modifications.
\n
• Develop and maintain electrical calculations including voltage drop, breaker coordination, and load study analysis calculations.
\n
• Conduct site walk downs, and review design modifications for constructability.
\n
• Support cost estimates, and scoping of future design modifications.
\n
• Ensure design drawings are updated after completion of a design modification.
\n
• Present design changes at various meetings.
\n
• Coordinate and write test procedures, as needed.
\n
• Manage design scope, schedule, and budget to meet site objectives.
\n
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors associated with modifications.
\n
• Provide input for/attend post-project evaluation/lessons learned meetings.
\n
• Perform engineering duty and emergency response duty as required.
\n
\n
Educational Requirements
\n
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or PE license required.
\n
Background/Experience Requirements
\n
• Power design modifications experience is preferred.
\n
• Construction planning, scheduling and implementation experience preferred.
\n
• Project management/oversight experience preferred.
\n
\n
Technical Requirements
\n
• Working knowledge of design processes and configuration is preferred.
\n
• Working knowledge of the applicable discipline codes and standards is preferred.
\n
• Working knowledge of PWR systems, structures and components is preferred.
\n
• Working knowledge of nuclear power plant design and systems is preferred.
\n
• Experience with development and maintenance of design related calculations (i.e. voltage drop, breaker coordination, load study analysis, etc.) is desired
\n
• Working knowledge of electrical power system analysis tools such as ETAP or CAPTOR is desired.
