Casa Ybel Resort is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at our historic beachfront property. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit resort team dedicated to exceptional guest experiences and the ongoing care of a beloved Sanibel landmark.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep across resort buildings, guest units, and grounds to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting)
- Conduct preventative maintenance and respond promptly to service requests
- Maintain resort grounds, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend long-term solutions
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays
- Valid driver’s license preferred
