At Mad Science of DC, youll build and launch rockets, demonstrate lasers, explore dinosaurs, create amazing experiments, and inspire kids through hands-on science activities. Every week is a new adventure.
This is not a desk job and not retail. Youll stay active, work with a team, and lead excited elementary-age campers through unforgettable STEM experiences.

What Youll Do
Lead a group of elementary-aged campers through exciting, hands-on science activities, demonstrations, and take-home projects using our fully prepared curriculum.
We supply all materials, equipment, and training. Your job is to bring energy, enthusiasm, and leadership.
Camp runs MondayFriday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with optional before-care (89 AM) and after-care (46 PM) at many locations.
Locations
Camps are held throughout the DC metro area, including:
Vienna McLean Bethesda Rockville Gaithersburg Silver Spring Washington DC Howard County Arlington Annandale Fairfax Springfield Alexandria Chantilly and more
You will be assigned to camp locations within a reasonable driving distance of your home and typically remain at the same site for the entire week (often multiple weeks). A reliable vehicle and valid drivers license are required.
Who Were Looking For
College students or recent graduates who:
Enjoy working with children ages 612
Are outgoing, responsible, and dependable
Can lead activities and manage a group
Have a reliable personal vehicle
Are available most weeks between June 21 and August 21
No science degree required.
Training
Paid training and orientation will take place during the first two weeks of June. You must be available during this time.
Pay
Base pay: $650 per week (up to $810/week)
Additional pay for before/after care hours training
