Mountainside Power is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and service our growing fleet of construction, utility, and linework vehicles. This role is critical to keeping our crews operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain issues

  • Ensure fleet meets DOT compliance and inspection standards

  • Maintain accurate service records and inspection reports

  • Respond to breakdowns in the field when required

  • Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime

  • Support emergency and storm response operations when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience

  • Working knowledge of DOT compliance, inspections, and documentation

  • Experience servicing diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair under field conditions

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)

  • Self-motivated, safety-focused, and dependable

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience working on mechanic/service trucks

  • Background in utility, powerline, or heavy construction fleets
