Job DescriptionAutomatic Door Estimator/Project Manager – Walker, MIDISHER is partnering with a locally owned commercial door company to find a detail-oriented Automatic Door Estimator/Project Manager to join their team in Walker, MI. In this role, you’ll assess projects and provide cost estimates for commercial automatic swinging, sliding, and revolving doors, including new installations, replacements, and service repairs. If you enjoy digging into plans, solving problems, and helping customers land on the right door solutions for their buildings, this role is for you.

Review blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to understand project scope.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for new installations, replacements, and service repairs on automatic swinging, sliding, and revolving doors.

Create clear, professional proposals and quotes for customers and contractors.

Help steer customers toward the best door solutions based on their needs, building conditions, and budget.

Develop and update shop drawings/submittals to support installations and approvals.

Work closely with technicians, customers, suppliers, and contractors to clarify details and resolve questions.

Read and interpret price books and catalogs to build estimates and confirm product options.

Identify potential issues or conflicts early and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.

Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project details.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing plans and building estimates.

Solid understanding of how automatic doors operate and how different solutions fit different applications.

Comfort reading blueprints, specifications, and site notes without getting overwhelmed.

Ability to create clear shop drawings/submittals that technicians and customers can easily understand.

Good communication skills with technicians, customers, suppliers, and contractors.

Confidence working with price books and catalogs to find the right products and pricing.
