Unarmed Security Officer (Washington, D.C.) Full-Time and part-time shifts available, Must Work Weekends


Position Overview:


We are currently seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for an upscale apartment and retail community in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time roving position (approximately 40 hours per week). Multiple shifts are available, including 10 am - 10 pm, 6 am - 2 pm, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM.

Weekend availability is mandatory.


Requirements:


  • Must possess a valid DC Security Officer License

  • Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone

  • Must be able to pass a drug test

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including in varied weather conditions

  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Patrol the premises and maintain a visible security presence

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and surveillance systems

  • Deter loitering, panhandling, and unauthorized access

  • Respond promptly to suspicious activity and critical incidents

  • Enforce property rules and community policies

  • Write detailed daily activity and incident reports

  • Rove between assigned areas, including amenity spaces, garages, and common areas

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous security experience or related background in public safety

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
