Ashland Area YMCA | Ashland, KY
The Ashland Area YMCA is hiring Lifeguards to join our aquatics team! We are hiring for all shifts, with an immediate need for early morning and day lifeguards.

What You'll Do
- Monitor the pool and aquatic areas to ensure the safety of members and guests.
- Maintain constant surveillance and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Perform water rescues and first aid when needed.
- Enforce pool rules and safety policies in a fair and professional manner.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Complete required pool, maintenance, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with members, guests, lifeguards, and supervisors.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment.
- Assist with pool events, parties, and other YMCA activities.
- Work as part of a dependable and supportive aquatics team.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Current nationally accredited Lifeguard Certification required or willing to obtain one.
- Strong swimming and water rescue skills.
- Able to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
- Able to recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working with people of all ages.
- Available for weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willing to arrive 15 minutes before each scheduled shift.
- Willing to participate in required training and staff drills.
