Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Maintenance Reliability Specialist – Industrial Systems for our client, a leading organization in the industrial manufacturing sector. This position offers the chance to apply your inspection and quality assurance skills within a large, well-established company committed to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute the Equipment Inspection Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program, including scheduling, physical inspections, testing, and documentation in assigned units.
  • Utilize non-destructive testing techniques to evaluate equipment condition and support maintenance decision-making.
  • Monitor corrosion rates using corrosion test racks and other on-stream methods.
  • Provide technical input on equipment fabrication, repair, and materials selection as needed.
  • Investigate equipment failures by determining causes, recommending corrective actions, and documenting findings.
  • Actively participate in safety programs, lead safety meetings, and maintain strict adherence to safety standards while performing duties.
  • Collaborate with Unit Support Teams, Turnaround Execution Teams, and problem-solving groups to address reliability and maintenance challenges.
  • Provide feedback for predictive repair and replacement planning to support plant expense budgeting.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance craft or related inspection roles.
  • Prior inspection experience with relevant certifications.
  • Proficient in computerized Preventive Maintenance inspection programs.
  • Working knowledge of project and business systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication processes related to materials and equipment.
  • Understanding of API standards VIII, 653, 510, and 570 preferred.
  • Experience with welding processes considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
