Volt is immediately hiring Facilities Engineer in Lompoc, CA

As an Assembly Technician you will have:

  • Facilities management professional at Vandenberg Space Force Base to lead a facilities team and contractors, supporting the L3Harris' customer missions.
  • Responsible for space planning, construction management, maintenance, and operations of the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) at Vandenberg site.
  • Develops, manages, and tracks facilities capital and facilities operating expense budgets and establishes long-range facilities strategic plans in support of business goals.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of space allocation, furniture and equipment layouts, communication services and networking requirements.
  • Ensures facilities' compliance with applicable building codes, guidelines, and regulations. Responsible for preventative, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of all facilities and facilities support equipment.
  • Responsible to maintain and utilize a facilities maintenance management and work order system.
  • Inspects facilities and evaluates such factors as HVAC systems, lighting, size, condition, and suitability for occupancy.
  • Coordinates work of contractors and interfaces with external government agencies on facilities matters.
  • Jointly responsible for facilities security and health and safety standards within the facility.


This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
Clearance: Top secret Clearance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • 4+ years managing on-site facilities staff, supporting contractors and service providers.
  • Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area.
  • Typically has comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function.


Pay Range : $55 - $62 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
